About Us
The South African Motorbike Delivery Association (SAMDA) is a national advocacy and support body for motorbike delivery drivers/riders across South Africa. We champion the rights, dignity, and safety of riders who keep our cities connected, businesses thriving, and communities served. Whether delivering meals, medicines, parcels, or essential goods, our members are the backbone of modern convenience—and they deserve respect, visibility, and protection. Through training, outreach, and industry collaboration, SAMDA empowers riders to elevate their standards and uplift their livelihoods. We believe safe roads, clean bins, and courteous interactions aren’t just logistics—they’re a matter of dignity.
As a values-driven association, SAMDA exists to raise awareness and foster mutual respect between riders and the communities they serve. We work closely with stakeholders in government, industry, and civil society to shape fair policies and ethical practices that reflect the realities of frontline delivery work. We also cultivate rider leadership through empowerment campaigns, public engagement, and knowledge-sharing events. From grassroots safety initiatives to partnerships with major platforms, SAMDA is building a movement—one kilometer at a time—for better conditions, stronger networks, and proud delivery riders across the nation.
